📋 Contract Cancellation & Early Termination

| Customer Cancellation Notice | Customers may terminate their agreement without cause at any time by providing 30 calendar days’ notice. |
| Cancellation Within First 30 Days | No early termination fee may be charged if the customer terminates the agreement within the first 30 calendar days after the contract’s effective date. |
| Cancellation After First 30 Days | An early termination fee may apply, not exceeding one monthly service charge for each year remaining on the agreement, prorated for partial years. |
| Assignment to Another Carter | Where applicable, customers may terminate without an early termination fee within 90 calendar days following a DSNY-approved contract assignment or the start of service by a designated carter. |
| Service Following Cancellation | Service continues for 30 calendar days after notice is provided unless the customer and Green Environmental Services Corp agree to an earlier termination date. |
| Termination by DSNY | Under applicable regulations, DSNY may terminate the agreement with 14 calendar days’ notice. No early termination fee may be charged in this circumstance. |
The maximum permitted early termination fee is based on one monthly service charge for each year remaining on the agreement, calculated on a prorated basis. For example, if a customer has 18 months remaining on an agreement, the maximum fee would equal 1.5 times the monthly service charge.
