Existing Customers & The CWZ
The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has announced that Staten Island will officially begin transition to the Commercial Waste Zones (CWZ) program on July 1, 2026.
With that in mind, we want to reassure you that, as a current Green Environmental Services customer, your service will be compliant with CWZ requirements at the time of transition provided that you sign a new CWZ written agreement..
Green Environmental Services is one of theĀ authorized CWZs carter for Staten Island, and there is nothing you need to do at this time.
As the CWZ transition approaches, our team will:
- Review your existing service
- Confirm container sizes and pickup schedules
- Contact you directly if any updates are required
- Send you a new CWZ contract to sign
There will be no interruption to your service, and your account will remain compliant as the program goes into effect.
